We’re definitely in a heat wave around Baltimore, temperatures and humidity are mixing for a truly hot and sticky atmosphere to be outside in. Just this past Friday, the Baltimore Sun reported that the highs of the heat wave were in the 90 degree range with a heat index of over 100 degrees. Health officials had cautioned about a heightened risk of heat-related illnesses like heat exhaustion and heat stroke. They also advised Baltimore residents to avoid prolonged periods in the sun.
